John Murray wrote in the Wall Street Journal about the founder of basketball. James Naismith, the inventor of the sport, was convinced that he had a better chance of living out the Christian life through sports rather than preaching. He took a job as a physical education instructor at the YMCA’s International Training School for Christian workers in Springfield, Massachusetts. His vision? … “To win men for the Master through the gym.”

Hoop Church is a Christ based outreach ministry using basketball as a means to bring together believers and non believers. Hoop Church begins with Bible Study and then we play basketball. There is no cost and we have multiple levels of play. Our goal is the same as Dr. James Naismith's. Through our example as followers of Christ we will reach others for God. Come join us!

We are looking to grow our Hoop Church program, if you know of a gym that is available please contact us. It is our hope to run Hoop Church 7 nights a week!
