Code of Conduct/ Rules

Basketball League uses standard High School rules with some exceptions detailed below:

Bulldog League is a family friendly league that promotes great sportsmanship. Please be courteous towards other players and visitors.

Bulldog League and its staff, partners, and affiliates reserve the right to eject any individual or group that displays any behavior deemed detrimental to the safety and positive culture of the Bulldog League.

Fighting will result in permanent expulsion from the Bulldog League. Bulldog League reserves the right to investigate each incident and issue an expulsion based on findings.

3 Techs = 2 game suspension, 4 Techs result in suspension for the remainder of the season.

Auto 2 points for profanity, official will blow whistle and notify score keeper. If in the final 2 minutes team will be given two free throw attempts. Does not count as a personal foul or technical foul.

An attempt at player swapping will result in one warning for the team before disciplinary action leading up to team suspension is taken.

Half time is 2 minutes long

All team members need to sign a waiver and wear team uniform

Teams are to warm up in auxiliary gym where available, there will be two minutes between games. Games may run late pending overtime. Locations without auxiliary gyms will have 4-6 minute warm up periods before the game.

Overtime consists of 2 minute clock with final minute stopped during dead ball situations. Will play as many overtimes as needed to determine winner.

Two one minute timeouts per half per team.

If overtime occurs each team gets one timeout each. No carryover timeouts.

Clock stops in the final two minutes of the second half and for technical or intentional fouls.

Two 22 minute halves per game

A team must have four players present to avoid a forfeit game. After two forfeits or insufficient amount of players showing to a game the Bulldog League reserves the right to remove the team from the league without refund or place the remaining players on existing teams if possible.

Free throws are “Release” instead of “Rim.” Shooter and anyone behind the 3 pt arc still need to wait until ball hits the rim.

If a player fouls out they cannot continue playing, team will play 4 on 5 or 3 on 5 to finish game.

Teams can submit a “R.E.D. Form” regarding an issue with officiating. Teams can only submit 3 per season including playoffs. This form is used to review officiating performance.

Each player is given 6 fouls before fouling out.

Dunking is allowed only at certain locations. Please ask each locations score keeper.

You can replace players on a roster in the regular season only. Bulldog League reserves the right to deny player participation based on level of experience in certain divisions.

Bulldog League does not refund any individual or league fees after the start of our league season. Teams have until 24 hours prior to the league start date to request a refund. In the event of a refund a $100 charge will be deducted for a team and $10 for an individual only registration.

Players must play in at least 2 regular season games to be eligible for playoffs. Exceptions can be made if opposing team ok’s player‘s eligibility

$25 no show/ no call team fine. Fee goes to opposing team for travel expenses. 2 no show/no calls will result in suspension for team. Team is removed from schedule until fee is paid

League ownership and management reserve the right to alter rules without notification in advance
